About Danielle’s Episode
After serving as a co-moderator with Danielle on a Money Management Institute (MMI) career panel, I invited her to continue our conversation about leadership on an episode of WealthTech on Deck. Here’s some of what Danielle had to say:
- Grit and intellectual curiosity are key to constant advancement.
- “Shut up and listen” – You might just learn something from the people around you.
- Asking the right questions is key to empowering members of your team.
- The future of financial advice lies in personalization and managing client relationships.
- Being two things at once is hard. Financial advisors need help balancing being both an advisor and an entrepreneur.
What did Danielle talk about?
Three key takeaways from Danielle’s episode:
Leadership is:
- Learned.
- All about listening.
- Truly caring about others.
How Danielle answered our favorite question:
What do you like to do outside of work that people might find interesting or surprising?
With a full-time job and all the homework that accompanies an executive MBA program, Danielle admittedly doesn’t have much free time. However, she shared one of her goals for this year: completing the Chicago Marathon in October. It’ll take some physical therapy, a solid training plan, and a good bit of that aforementioned grit – but the team here at WealthTech on Deck is confident that she can achieve her goal!
